    East Hampshire is perfect walking, cycling and riding country, providing an ideal base for short break holidays. The market towns and villages are full of interest and the local food is of excellent quality.

    For cyclists, East Hampshire's 22 mile cycle route uses quiet country lanes to explore. Starting and finishing in the market town of Petersfield and including the Ashford Hangers and sunken lanes, the route is clearly marked with distinctive cycle signs. The leaflet giving details of this route can be downloaded below. 

    Queen Elizabeth Country Park has mountain-bike trails and superb views from the top of Butser Hill. Alice Holt Forest provides an alternative venue for walking and cycling. Hire bikes are available at the Forest Centre. For further details on cycling, please click here
     
    Electric Bikes
     
    Electric bikes are now available from four hire points locally and there are charge points round the district. Find out more from CPRE

    Horse Riding
     
    For horse riders, The Ox Drove Way 25 mile circular horseback route takes in countryside tracks with food, rest and vet facilities along the way.
