    Service Managers for Planning and Built Environment

    Planning Development – Chris MurrayChris Murray

    To ensure the effective leadership and management of services and teams across both councils and to make significant contribution to the development and implementation of policies, strategies and plans.

    The lead planning development specialist managing a responsive, customer focussed and cost effective planning development service which includes managing planning applications, enforcement and building control. To advise both Councils on development management issues and to review, develop and introduce initiatives which help deliver wider corporate objectives.

    Initially a fixed term role for 2 years as opportunities for partnership working may arise).

    To ensure the effective leadership and management of services and teams across both councils. To make significant contribution to the development and implementation of policies, strategies and plans.

    The lead planning policy specialist ensuring that statutory local development plans and policies are in place and delivered by working closely with the planning development service To advise both Councils on strategic planning issues and to review, develop and introduce initiatives which reflect wider corporate objectives
